The MSU Center for Regenerative Agriculture brings together interdisciplinary expertise to quantify the real-world outcomes of regenerative farming, with Dr. Bruno Basso serving as the row crop and modeling advisor. Basso’s role is central to developing data-driven tools and metrics that help farmers evaluate how management decisions affect soil health, greenhouse gas emissions, productivity, and profitability. By integrating advanced modeling with on-farm measurements, his work supports the center’s outcome-based approach and contributes to national efforts—such as the 3M project—to provide credible, scalable evidence that regenerative agriculture can enhance resilience while creating new economic opportunities for producers.
